Bruschetta Al Pomodoro

Ingredients
- 4 medium tomatoes, roughly chopped
- ⅓ cup extra- virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, torn by hand
- Seal salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 1 garlic clove, peeled but whole
Instructions
- Place the tomatoes in a medium bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
- Add the basil, a generous pinch of salt, and a scrunch of black pepper.Let this get some beauty sleep and rest in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
- While the tomatoes marinate, preheat the oven to 40 degrees F.
- Set the bread slices on a sheet pan and place them in the oven until they are gorgeous and golden brown, about 10 minutes.
- Remove the bread from the oven and rub the surface with the garlic clove.
- When ready to serve, place the tomatoes and the collected juices on the top of the prepared bread.
- Add a scrunch of pepper before serving.
